First Light Neighborhood

First Light Neighborhood & Farm is a multi-generational, twenty-two home community which includes a farm, common house, and swimming pond where neighbors can meet for meals, celebrations, and other gatherings. The neighborhood sits on a forty-acre rolling hilltop rising to 875 feet, with long views to the north, east, and south.

In the face of climate change, we must restore our relationship with nature and operate within the ecological balance of a given place.

The Land

First Light Neighborhood, a short walk to Pine Hill Campus, High Mowing School, Temple Wilton Community Farm, Wild Rose Farm and Hilltop Cafe, consists of 40 acres abutting conservation land.

In order to minimize the impact of house construction on the climate and maximize the resilience of the homes to the effects of climate change we are embracing sustainable and resilient building practices and guidelines.
